Wood Bracket Adapters are specifically designed to allow you to mount lumber, typically 2x4, perpendicular to the post in the construction of wood privacy fencing.  The BOSS recommends using Simpson Lag Screw to mount each bracket to the lumber for best holding strength.

When tightening the accompanied threaded bolt of the wood bracket while mounting on the post, it is imperative to lower your screw gun torque setting to a 1-3 setting as to not over-tighten the bolt.  An impact driver is NOT recommended for this part of the installation.  Over-tightening the bolt can lead to snapping the bolt head.
